Strike and demonstration in Tehran’s Grand Bazzar with the slogans "Death to the dictator" and "Death to Khamenei”

On Tuesday, June 26 for for the third consecutive day, large sections of Tehran's Grand Bazaar went on strike and protests.

The demonstrations began on Sunday with a rally in Tehran's bazaars (Aladdin Mall and Chaharso market), in protest of the fall in the value of the Iranian currency's Rial and economic slogans like "100,000 Rials Do not Want",

But on the second day On Monday, in various areas of Tehran, anti-government protests started with political slogans. At the same time, strikes spread rapidly to various parts of the Tehran’s Grand Bazaar. Demonstrations continued until midnight on Monday, especially after the football game between Iran and Portugal.

Demonstrators also chanted anti-government slogans in front of the regime's parliament and clashed with the security forces. In these clashes, police forces and anti-riot police guard’s motorcycles were also burnt down. Police responded with tear gas, detaining some of the protestors.

The slogans of the demonstrators were:

“Neither Gaza, nor Lebanon, my life is a sacrifice for Iran" 

“Death to the dictator”, “Death to Khamenei”

"Forget about Syria, think about us”.

 “Don’t be afraid, don’t be afraid, we are together in this” 

“Feel shame, let go out the country”

“Iranian dies but never accept humiliation”

“Mullahs must get lost”

It was the biggest anti-government protest in Tehran since 2009.
