US department of State revealed that the 3 American contractors and their translator kidnapped in the Al-Doreh district in southern Baghdad on Friday, Jan. 15th were taken by militias wearing military camouflage uniforms.
Iraqi security sources say the kidnappers took their hostages to an undisclosed location.
The US administration says these American were contractors or trainers working for an American company out of Baghdad International airport.
A source in Baghdad said that the kidnappers were Asaeb militias who are supported and financed by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and its nefarious Quds force operating in Iraq.
Supplementary reports indicate that the area where the 3 Americans taken hostage has previously been site of similar hostage takings including the abduction of 10 Turkish workers and Qatari hunters taken late last year.
