Tehran Police Chief claimed that the Police have behaved tactfully towards the protest rally of the Dervishes in Tehran and did not let any blood being shed even from the nose of a citizen; otherwise, police could have destroyed the Dervishes’ leader's house by firing a RPG7 rocket.
Hussein Rahimi, who last night interviewed with Iranian State Television Network 2, said that in the management of urban riots, the main thing is to create security and peace for the people. In addition, also in this particular case, we are proud that the Police did not allow a drop of blood to flow from the nose of a citizen.
Even during the arrests, we did it in such a way that nobody lost life and even the life of agitators were protected, but the person who threatens the Police will see its results in prison, he added.
The claim of thoughtful behavior by the Tehran Police chief is just like a joke, because the mere firing of RPG7 rocket to a home in Tehran by itself reflects the level of violence that the Police force is useing against the protesters.
The images published on social networks also indicate that Police used excessive force and violence against demonstrators, including firing at protesters using air gun and live bulets.
