Washington Times: 890 Faith Community Leaders in the U.S. Urge Delisting of MEK, Iran's Main Opposition

In open letter to Secretary Clinton,

“Over   the   past   six   months   there   has   been   increasing   political   support   in the United States for the removal of the MEK from the FTO. For a much longer period there has been support from faith communities in the United States and around the world to delist MEK.”
The Very Reverend Dr. David B. Lowry Highlights from the Letter:

              The religious leaders referred to “Iran’s main opposition,
               the Mujahedin-e-Khalq (MEK),” as “an inspiration to, and
               instrumental player in, the pro-democracy movement in Iran
               due to its commitment to freedom.”

              In diametric opposition to the ruling theocracy, the group
              espouses a tolerant and egalitarian Islam, which advocates
              gender equality and equality before the law for all religious
              and ethnic minorities.

              MEK seeks a non-nuclear Iran, at peace with all its neighbors....
