An open letter from a number of members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI / MEK) in Ashraf 3 in Manza to the Albanian officials

While the head of the task force combating coronavirus in Greater Tehran says that 20 percent of Tehran's 14 million population has been infected with coronavirus, and while more than 60,000 people have died of corona in Iran, and borders have been closed, the Gestapo-like religious fascism ruling in Iran, under false pretenses of family visits , is requiring entry visa to Albania for 8,000 people. What is the purpose?

Recently, an Albanian-language website called Gazeta Impakt, which preaches the Iranian religious fascism regime, constantly republishes the sadistic allegations of the Iranian regime's Ministry of Intelligence (MOIS) websites by naming us and the PMOI / MEK. It is widely believed that Gazeta Impakt is operated by a man in Albania named Olsi Jazexhi and his wife, Migena Balla. Olsi Jazexhi was taken to Iran in last February as a journalist and researcher, but for the latest training on demonization campaign against the PMOI /MEK.

Following the uprising of the Iranian people in November 2019 and the killing of more than 1,500 people by the Iranian regime, which was exposed by the Iranian resistance, the Mullah’s Gestapo (MOIS) under the name of one of its branches called the "Nejat Society" puts the family members of the PMOI /MEK and other members of the Iranian Resistance under pressure to sign pre-dictated petitions or produce video clippings which the MOIS writes their scenarios in order to propagate propaganda and swear at us and the Albanian government.

Khamenei, the leader of the regime, personally insulted Albania on January 8, 2020, about the November uprising in Iran, saying: "Several days before the uprising, in a small and sinister country in Europe, an American and a number of Iranians mercenaries drew up plans which we saw in the gasoline incident ... ".

The various kind of attacks and torture by this regime are nothing new to us, and we have witnessed them closely for 13 years from 2003 to 2016 in Iraq at Camp Ashraf and Camp Liberty. In 27 ground attacks with firearms and other weapons, missiles and armored vehicles, seven bloodbaths, food and medicine siege, left 168 martyrs and 1,500 wounded, and nine people were taken hostage, whose fate is unknown. In addition, they imposed psychological torture on us with 320 loudspeakers for 677 days in 2010 and 2011, the details of which are recorded in detail in the UN office in Iraq (UNAMI).Mr. Tahar Boumedra, the then chief of the UNAMI human rights office has personally witnessed parts of these crimes.

The Iranian regime's terrorist plots in Albania have continued against us.  As a result, the ambassador and three other terrorist diplomats have been expelled. Another Iranian regime diplomat called Asadollah Asadi was arrested during an attempt to bomb the Iranian Resistance’s gathering in Paris on June 30, 2018.  He is awaiting trial in Belgium.

On October 23, 2019, the head of the Albanian police revealed a terrorist network led by the Quds Force of the Iranian regime for operations in Albania against the PMOI / MEK. A member of the network traveled to Albania to spy on and complete intelligence on the pretext of meeting his mother, who was with the PMOI / MEK at the time.

The Iranian regime's propaganda and demonization campaign against us continues to pave the way for further terrorist acts. For this reason, our families have been taken hostage in Iran, and the regime is abusing them against us. The Iranian regime has so far executed 120,000 PMOI / MEK members and dissidents, including the 1988 massacre of 30,000 political prisoners.

Olsi Jazexhi and Gjergji Thanasi publish the content of the Iranian regime's websites and cover associations  on Gazeta Impakt or on their own Facebook pages of which only a limited number of members of the Revolutionary Guards and the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence are their readers. The Iranian regime then publishes the same material once again on its media as if the Albanian people support the demands of the Iranian notorious Ministry of Intelligence (MOIS). We have been made aware that the regime then distributes the same reports in prisons to justify further pressure on prisoners and our families.

  1. We have asked the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights to send an international fact-finding mission to Iran in the presence of the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights situation on Iran and our representatives to meet with families in Iran and to publish its report for the knowledge of the public.
  2. We call on the Minister of Justice and the Minister of Interior in Albania to investigate the illicit actions of Olsi Jazexhi and Gjergji Thanasi in favor of religious persecution in Iran and their contribution in the suppression of our families and the advancement of terrorism against Iranian refugees in Albania.
