The following article has been sent to the Iran Probe website by Mr. Rasoul Mahdloo Turkman:
“I am Rasoul Mahdloo Turkman, a member of the People’s Mojahedin of Iran (MEK) based in Ashraf in Manza, Durres in Albania. My colleagues and I have seen nothing but hospitality from the Albanian people, especially the kind people of Manza, during the years that we have been welcomed as refugees by various Albanian governments.
However, as in every country where the MEK is present, the Iranian regime in Albania has hired a few locals to spread false news and run demonizing campaign against MEK. They pave the ground for the terrorist activities against us. I studied Agricultural Engineering in Italy, where the representative of the Iranian resistance was assassinated by the Iranian regime. Therefore, I am well aware of the functions of this cruel and barbaric regime. Another example of the Iranian regime’s functions on the European soil: on February 4th, a court in Antwerp, Belgium, sentenced an Iranian diplomat and his three collaborators from 15 to 20 years imprisonment for attempting to bomb a MEK’s gathering in Pairs.
Similarly, the Iranian regime has failed in its terrorist attempts against MEK in Albania and its diplomats involved in terrorism were expelled. However, the regime is trying its chance in Albania through two individuals, Olsi Jazexhi and Gjergji Thanasi, who have admitted that they are paid by the Iranian regime’s institutions. They have made themselves available to be used as an apparatus to justify mental and physical torture of MEK member’s families including my old mother in Iran.
The brutal regime of Iran is pressuring and even torturing our very old parents to force them to write letters to the Albanian government or the international community against the MEK and their own children. Then Olsi Jazexhi and Thanasi, as running dogs of the Ministry of Intelligence of the Iranian regime (MOIS), propagate and publish these letters against us in Albania. For example, Gjergji Thanasi has published one of these letters which was produced by the MOIS in the name of my very old mother, along with my photo on one of the MOIS’s Albanian websites. His deed, is nothing but collaboration with the MOIS against my mother.
Some Ashraf residents in Manza even say that the Iranian regime is sending fake complaints to the Albanian government or to the international community in the name of their father or relatives who have been killed years ago by the Iranian regime itself.
In my case, Gjergji Thanasi echoes the same fake accusations made by the Iranian regime. The henchmen of the regime arrested my parents after my last phone call with them. After interrogation and torturing my parents, they asked them to write to me asking me to come back to Iran, so they could arrest me.
The criminal regime of Iran is very cruel and savage. Naturally, its collaborators are also very dangerous. For example, On February 17, 2021, in a heinous crime, Zahra Esmaili, a female death row prisoner who died of a heart attack shortly before her execution, was nonetheless hanged in Gohardasht Prison in Karaj.
Her lawyer wrote in a post on Facebook: “16 men were hanged in front of Zahra’s eyes. As a result, she suffered from a stroke before going to the gallows, and passed away. However, her lifeless body was still hanged.”
Zahra Esmaili, mother of two, was sentenced to death for the alleged murder of her husband, Alireza Zamani, one of the director generals of the notorious Intelligence Ministry, who had tried to sexually assault her teenage daughter. Her execution was an inhumane revenge by Intelligence agents.
Through this writing, I urge all judicial bodies and law enforcement agencies in Albania to take to account my complaint against these two individuals, Olsi jazexhi and Gjergji Thanasi, who collaborate with the criminal regime of Iran in its false propaganda and persecuting our families in Iran, in particular my mother. I demand, based on the law their arrest and prosecution, not only for their indirect participation of my mother’s persecution, but for giving support to the terrorist regime of Iran that has been condemned by the Albanian President, Prime Ministr, Minister of interior and the chief of the Police.
