IRGC deputy commander: We transferred our battleground to other countries

Iran’s state news agency ISNA, on Friday June 22^nd, quoted General Salami, deputy commander of IRGC, Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps. Salami said, “The art of Islamic Republic of Iran is that we have been able to transfer the battleground with the enemy to the furthermost distance”. He defined countries such as Iraq, Lebanon and Syria as the premier barriers for Iran.

IRGC deputy commander commented, “one day Iran lacked an organized power”. He added, “The art of our revolution is that we have been able to engage the enemy in large grounds”. Salami was referring to Iran’s military presence in some countries in the region, a fact that     U S and allies describe as the cause of instability and jeopardizing international security.

Salami continued, “Today in Lebanon a power has been formed by the name of “Hezbollah” that can displace the ground and political counterbalance in east of Mediterranean’s. It is also an assured barrier for our system and revolution”.

Referring to Syria IRGC deputy commander brags, “When the Zionist regime feels the influences of this emerging power and hears people with different accents, from Pakistan, India, Yemen, Iran and Afghanistan, it will realize that an international Islamic force has been formed close to its borders. A force that United States and Europe are incapable of bring its expansion to a halt”.

What this Iranian general is referring to are the terrorist units, gathered mainly from Shiites in the regional countries, trained in Iran and sent to Syria to help Bashar Al Assad against his own people.

In response to western countries’ call for an end to Iran’s regional presence, this high ranking IRGC official called it impossible and added, “Retreating from the firs barrier means to lose everything and this is the rule of battle against the enemy”.
