In recent years, the Iranian regime has attempted to create a hostile atmosphere against the Iranian Resistance and the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) by utilizing a network of propaganda agents, media front groups, and seemingly civil institutions across various European countries. Albania has also become one of the epicenters for these activities. Amid this, the names of individuals like Aldo Sulollari have been repeatedly mentioned in connection with propaganda projects against the MEK.
A review of the content published on social media and programs related to this individual shows that a major part of his activities is based on repetitive accusations, undocumented information, and political propaganda against the MEK; claims that, despite extensive promotional expenditures, have so far failed to make any serious impact on Albanian public opinion or the international community.
The main issue, however, is not Aldo Sulollari himself, but rather the type of project the Iranian regime has been pursuing for years to destroy its opponents. The Iranian regime, instead of answering for its internal crises, the suppression of popular protests, the execution of political prisoners, and widespread human rights violations, attempts to tarnish the image of its opponents abroad by spending massive amounts of money.
According to reports and revelations published by certain sources and former elements connected to the Iranian regime’s security institutions, several individuals participating in propaganda programs and activities against the MEK are in contact with networks affiliated with the Iranian regime’s Ministry of Intelligence (MOIS). One of them is this very Aldo Sulollari. These individuals participate in these projects in exchange for financial support; an issue that has been repeatedly pointed out in published letters and reports:
Enlightening letter of MOIS agent
Unmasking Details on Demonization Campaign, Espionage, Terrorist Plots by the Iranian Regime’s Ministry of Intelligence, Embassy in Albania
In this regard, the name of the “Nejat Society” has also been repeatedly brought up; a mob that many experts and political sources have identified as a front for the activities of the Iranian regime’s MOIS. Over the past years, this cover society has organized propaganda activities against the People’s Mojahedin Organization and the National Council of Resistance in various countries.
Behzad Alishahi, who took Aldo Sulollari to Iran for training last summer, was deported from the Netherlands to Iran years ago due to his mercenary work for the MOIS and the threat he posed to Iranian dissidents, according to documents published in the Dutch press and reputable websites. By his own admission, Aldo Sulollari now works for him as the head of the Nejat Society in Iran.
The regime massacred thousands of people on the streets of Iran last January and in recent weeks, according to reports from human rights organizations and the international press, has executed scores of members of the People’s Mojahedin in its prisons. A video clip of six members of the People’s Mojahedin of Iran singing a hymn in a group before their execution went viral in May, was seen by millions, and shocked the world. So the money that Sulollari and his family receive from the Ministry of Intelligence is the blood money of the Iranian people.
